About Me
Hi, I’m Tahlia, the Workshop Manager at Protune Mechanical. I’m a qualified mechanic with over six years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry. I began and completed my apprenticeship right here at Protune, and since day one, I’ve been driven by a deep passion for cars and a strong commitment to doing every job with precision and care.
My attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship ensure that every vehicle is treated with the same level of respect and thoroughness I’d expect for my own. I’m currently expanding my skills further by undertaking a Certificate in Auto Electrics, allowing me to bring even more knowledge and capability to the workshop.
Whether it’s under the hood or behind the scenes, I take pride in keeping our workshop running smoothly and making sure every customer drives away confident in our work.
Mechanic of 36 Years
I started my apprenticship at 15 in the Audi / Volkwagon Dealership in Brentwood England.
33 years later I still love working on cars, working with my hands and being on the tools.
You never stop learning and the advances in the car industry always keep it interesting.
Business Owner 24 Years
I am proud to call the Sunshine Coast home. There is no better place to work and raise a family.
I moved to Australia from England in 2001. I brought a Kombi van and started working as a Mobile Mechanic based in Bokarina.
I still have a few loyal customers that have been with me from the start that remember me rocking up in my Blue Kombi with long hair and a tan.
My Matra used to be – if I can keep this on the road, I can keep anything going.
Any Kombi owner will understand what I mean.
Kawana Workshop
24 Years
The Kombi got upgraded to two Toyota Hiace vans, work got seriously busy and the Mobile Mechanic work lead to opening my first workshop in Warana.
Next the kids came along and I settled into family life, the Kombi got replaced with a sensible stationwagon, the tan faded, the hair became somewhat thinner and the smile lines have deepened.
Life was good, the customers kept returning, the coast kept growing and I decided it was time to upgrade to somewhere newer and more modern.
Premier Circuit 10 Years
In 2015 we moved Protune to our Fully Equipped Mechanical Workshop at Premier Circuit, Kawana.
With easier access just off the Kawana Way and down the road from the new Kawana Hospital, easier access and still enough for all our regular customers to get to.
